"Time For Bed" is the last track of "Setting Sail", No One's Child first album.
The song is a first person description of the happenings inside one of our bandmate's psyche at some duration in time, at their lowest point.

Songbirds sing the land to water
Rock to dust and wine to oil
Take the sparkle from the ocean
Dip a loving heart in poison

Songbirds’ songs are known alluring
Captivating, reassuring
Dare a motion, right or wrong
Every motion has a song

And if you had been sung,
Let us pause a while…

Let us take some air, in and out
Let the songbirds singabout
And once their songs have lost their charm
Let them know that it is time
Time for bed

It is said you cannot kill them
Let alone, mute or tame
You’d likely reacquaint with rage
Had you shown the bird the cage

It’s also said you would not bother
Would not ask and would not offer
You’d find a lovely way to live
Their lovely songs and what they give
